This blog is my first attempt to collect and organize information related to GIS and Cartography, with special focus on GIS in the Netherlands, Google Maps, Google Earth and Microsoft Virtual Earth mashups, along with ESRI software and applications design. If other non-GIS related material lands here, it is probably just temporary, until I have a better place for it. Some of my historical associations with people, organizations, or places may show up as I flash backwards and forwards, looking for meaningful connections. Art and Architecture (also to be found on my personal map), will make occasional appearances. A few entries in Dutch will be practice, not perfect, and corrections are welcome.
As I continue adding content and think about a meaningful structure, it appears that there are at least two dozen other “GIS bloggers”, well ahead of me. Nevertheless, I perservere because it is amazingly helpful for me to do this.
