This is my GIS blog recreated from an earlier version started in 2007. I initiated the original blog on my arrival in Amsterdam, as a chronicle of my exploration of the Dutch GIS world, as well as a way to keep notes on developments in GIS technology in the US and elsewhere. In about 2013 the blog was abandoned as I focused my work more on website design.

In May 2018, just for fun, I began reconstructing the blog, looking back at developments during the past 10 years. The entries here are recovered from the “wayback machine” versions,  entered into a new WordPress blog and backdated.  In some cases there is an “update” at the bottom of an entry pointing to relevant recent developments. Many of the old links are of course no longer valid.  I’ve tried to eliminate these, but there could be a few bad links which slip through.
